In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He
allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
My Dear Friends,
As salamu alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuhu.
May the mercy, peace and blessings of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala be upon you.
Avoidable blindness is a serious concern in the developing world and Pakistan in particular. Anjuman-e-Behbood-e-Mareezan Denmark Pakistan (ABMDP)
also known as Patient Welfare Society, is a not-for-profit society that is dedicated to combating avoidable blindness in people living in rural
Pakistan. Over the years, at no cost to the patients, our organization has helped countless individuals restore their vision, regain their
independence, and transform their quality of life.
I am pleased to extend my congratulations to the staff and volunteers of ABMDP as we celebrate yet another Free Eye Camp - closing in on number 50
ever so fast.
This special milestone offers a chance to reflect upon our organization's history, to celebrate its many achievements, and to set goals for the
Pakistanis are known throughout the world for their compassionate efforts to make a difference in the lives of others. As a country, we would not
have this reputation without the tireless work of people like you who have committed themselves to making their community a better place. You can take
satisfaction in knowing that your efforts make a profound difference in the lives of so many.
All those involved in building this organization into what it has become today deserve to be recognized for their skills and dedication; your
generosity, both of time and heart, is truly remarkable. Let this occasion be an opportunity to recognize the values of service, humility and
friendship that you so frequently demonstrate and to which we all aspire.
I would like to extend a special thank you to my brother-in-Islam Mohammad Ali from Palestine. I would like to, not only gratefully acknowledge
his generous donations but also the love and respect he has shown me. Without doubt our work would be impossible if not supported by the Pak-Danish
and Pak-British communities. They have consistently put other before themselves. Over the years, hundreds of people have come forward to volunteer
both time and finances. And, because of this, tens and thousands of people have been helped. Whether in the field or behind the scenes, I know that
we are celebrating this milestone because of you.
Please accept my apology if you have made a contribution and I have not mentioned you here by name. There are many, many people that I have met
along this journey that has spanned over two decades. Please know that your contribution has gone to someone who needed your help and because of
YOU, their life is better.
JazakAllah khair for taking the time to celebrate with us!
We thank you for your continued support.
It means ever so much. And for that - we are forever grateful.
